Our hut is located in Valsavarenche, one of the most beautiful places in the Gran Paradiso National Park. Valsavarenche is one of the three parallel valleys of Gran Paradiso, together with Val di Rhêmes and Valgrisenche.
Valsavarenche is the wildest among the three valleys, crossed by the Savara torrent and dominated by the Gran Paradiso glacier.
Valsavarenche is full of destinations for walkers, climbers and skiers looking for breathtaking views and close encounters with local fauna.

There are several activities that can be done from the hut:

• photographic hunting: the surroundings of the hut are populated by ibexes. Indeed, it is not unusual to have close encounters with some of them, especially along the trail that goes up towards Col Rosset. Moreover, during the night, thanks to the absence of light pollution, you can appreciate the starry sky and take wonderful pictures;

• e-Bike and MTB: in the plain you can explore different trails with your mountain bike or e-bike, such as the trails to the three lakes of Nivolet or the one to Col Rosset;

• hiking: many excursions start from our hut. The most popular one leads to Lake Rosset (2703 m; 1.30 hours round trip). To the east of the pass you can go up to Costa di Mentà and to Punta Violetta, another viewpoint on Gran Paradiso. There are also other longer paths, such as those that go up to Col Rosset (3023 m), Col Leynir (3084 m) and Colle Nivoletta (3152 m);

• mountaineering: from the hut start the panoramic climbing routes of Punta Basei, Punta Fourà and Taou Blanc.
